Ciao ragazzi e
famiglie!
The Spensley Street Italian aficionados have been learning
how to describe themselves in Italian. Keep your eyes out around the school in
the next couple of weeks for their personal profiles which they have begun
creating.
Here are some Italian phrases that we have been learning
that you can practice at home:
Mi chiamo …...
(My name is ……)
Ho …… anni. (I
am …… years old.)
Ho i capelli …… e ..... (I have …… and ….. hair.)
corti (short)
lunghi (long)
ricci (curly)
ondulati (wavy)
lisci (straight)
castani (brown)
rossi (red)
biondi (blond)
neri (black)
Ho
gli occhi…… (I have …… eyes.)
blu (blue)
verdi (green)
marroni (brown)
nocciola (hazel)
Many students have requested direct links to some of the
online activities that we have done in class. It is great to see so much
enthusiasm! To play ‘match the number’ and practice your numbers from 1-10, click here: Match the Number
To have fun describing hair appearance, click here: Hair (i capelli)
To play ‘Guess Who’ and get a head-start on what we will be doing next week, click here: Guess Who
Below is a photo of Hannah’s class playing ‘match the number’.
It was fantastic to see the Preps joining in and having a go, and the Grade 1
and 2 buddies being so supportive and encouraging.
I’m looking forward to another great week next week!
A presto! (See you soon!)
